The New Life Nursery
It is our privilege to provide quality nursery care for children from birth to pre-K. Our purpose is to provide a place where parents can confidently leave their children. A great deal of time has gone into making our nursery safe and enjoyable. The nursery ministry enables parents and others to worship and study in our church with the least amount of distractions as possible.
We encourage all parents to use the nursery whenever possible. Care is provided during all services. Even though children can sometimes be kept quiet in the sanctuary or during a class, babies and toddlers can sometimes be a distraction to others. In order to provide better care for your child, we have compiled some guidelines which are available in our “New Life Nursery Policy Handbook”. The Handbook covers various topics including:
• What Parents Need to Know
• Feeding Policy
• Injury Procedures
• Well Child Policy
• Abuse Prevention Policy
• Security Procedures
• Reporting Questionable Behavior
• Diaper Changing Policy
• Bathroom Assistance
• Discipline Policy
• Response Plan
• What To Do In An Emergency
• Guidelines for Attendants
Sunday Nursery Hours:
9:00 am to 10:00 am – For children birth to Pre-K
10:00 am to 11:15 am – For children birth to two years of age
The nursery also provides childcare during our MOPS Program (for Mothers of Preschoolers) which takes place every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, as well as our Women’s Ministry morning Bible Study which takes place every 1st and 3rd Tuesday.
Please contact us at 570-943-2759 if you have any questions, or would like to request a copy of the “New Life Nursery Handbook”.

Fall Program Begins September 12
Becoming a MOPS member allows you to participate in a movement that is helping women all around the world become not only great moms but also leaders in their communities. When moms are well equipped they can support and encourage one another. Being a mom might be the hardest job you’ll ever have but we bet that it’s the best one too! Sometimes you just need a safe space to breathe, get much need encouragement and share some yummy snacks. MOPS Membership provides resources (and lots of fun goodies) that remind you that we are all in this together. To learn more about our fall program, or to register, all are invited to a picnic on August 15 at 11 am. Just bring a light lunch dish to share. Kids welcome too! The fall program begins on September 12 and meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Childcare is provided. You can register online at www.mops.org/join and enter Kimmels code, UCL4.
